Users questions:Hello, I am in need of advice and/or help on how to save a shipment from my manufacturer in Ningbo, China have already paid 50% upfront upon initial order placement. My goods are ready and I currently owe the remaining 50% balance ($8008.00 USD) due before manufacturer will release goods for shipment. They are threatening liquidation of my goods. I have purchase-orders already for these goods here, but need a few more weeks 2-4 to come up with the remaining balance I owe. Is there anyway someone can assist me in getting my manufacturer to either Hold these goods for up to 1 more month. Or assist me with this payment temporarily. Even take posession and HOLD the goods for me until I can come up with the final Payment. Any advice is appreciated? I just can not afford to lose this shipment & these goods as I need them to keep my company in business. Also, I really want to be able to pay my manufacturer in full as I think they have been wonderful and I want to keep doing business with them in the future. Experts answer:the situation is complicated, if your suppliers were so wonderful, they would surely wait for 4 weeks what is the terms of payment you have discussed with them..... have you already told them you need 4 weeks odd to pay them.... the best solution here is to ask them to make shipment and send the bill for collection to your bank.... you can just tell them- thats how ur company wants it now.... or just try insisting them to make shipment now and provide docs after payment..
